Illini Scooters was conceived and born out of love for scooters and scooter riding. The owner Dale Meadors, a few years ago, discovered that the only places to purchase a scooter or have one worked on in central Illinois was out of the back room of a motorcycle store, the corner of a used car dealership or a part time private garage operation. Not the most attractive or professional of choices, Dale felt that scootering and scooter enthusiasts deserved better.
Dale opened Illini Scooters on April 1st, 2006 as central Illinois only "all scooter" full service shop designed to cater only to the scooter enthusiast. When you stop by you will see that everyone associated with Illini Scooters believes, breathes and loves all things about scooters.

Illini Scooters is dedicated to providing the scooter community with a wide variety and choices of the highest quality scooters, accessories, parts and service.
We are also adamant about promoting scooters as the best alternative mode of transportation that is economical, fun, easy to use, reliable, and extremely cost efficient.

Dale is living out a retirement dream! After many years in both aviation and manufactured housing industries, he opened Illini Scooters in April, 2006 to fulfill a desire of many years to own and run his own scooter store.
Dale feels he is extremely lucky to get up every day and go to work at something he loves to do, work with the very best of employees and best of all, meet the very best customers in the world.
Frank Fitzsimmons - Service Manager
Illini Scooters is very pleased and happy to have Frank as our service manager - and you will too! Those of you who already know frank are aware that he is one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable scooter technicians in central Illinois.
Frank was born and raised right here in Central Illinois and has been riding, working on and loving scooters his entire life.
We want you to know that Frank is here to assure you that your scooter from Illini Scooters is kept in tip-top shape and ready for your riding at any time.

His energy spills over to all of our customers as well as to those of us who work here at Illini Scooters. I purchased my scooter in May of 2006 at Illini Scooter. Since that time I have over 4,500 in town miles on it. The gas mileage is excellent, at 70mpg. The scooter is fully automatic and easy to handle. I am able to keep up with todays traffic. See Dale & Frank and they will put you on one today. Thanks again
Hi, my name is Chuck McArty and I bought my Vespa from the scooter store in Champaign - Illini Scooters. Great people to work with! I have had it a little over a year now and have over 5400 miles on it. Runs great and gets 82 MPG. You just cant beat filling up at the gas pump for under $5.00!! I have three cars and last year my gas bill for them was over $700. So far, I have had two oil changes, one rear tire and added an air horn. Not bad and what a blast to ride!
